Propels Fresh EBT

Founded in 2014 by President Jimmy Chen, Propel Inc. is an American software company creating technological innovations to help low-income individuals improve their financial health. Propel’s Fresh EBT is a free app that allows users to securely check their food stamps balance, view their transaction history, find stores that accept EBT cards, clip digital coupons, and explore and apply for job postings. During the federal government shutdown in 2018-2019, Propel Inc. partnered with Full Cart, Feeding Children Everywhere’s affordable grocery kit delivery program to ship 600,000 meals-worth of free nonperishable food to 12,000 households with a low SNAP balance
