Business Coalitions
The business sector has come together in various coalitions committed to addressing poverty-related issues. Founded in 2005, Business Fights Poverty is an international network of experts and individuals in business who work to identify and create solutions for clearly-defined societal challenges. Founded in 2016, Global Impact Sourcing Coalition (GISC) is a global network of more than 60 businesses and suppliers engaged in Impact Sourcing, in which businesses prioritize suppliers that hire and provide career development opportunities to individuals with limited employment prospects. Similarly, starting in 2019, Business for Inclusive Growth (B4IG) became a global coalition of 40 private businesses investing $1.4 billion to address inequalities in their workplaces and supply chains, and promote inclusive financial growth.
