What is The Advisory Committee?

Individuals from across the country who have an interest in lending their skills and experiences to eradicating poverty in communities across the U.S. in 5 years or less.

What’s involved?

Members of the Committee will:

  • Help identify individuals and organizations in your region that want to engage in eradicating poverty in five years or less

  • Connect SHP to local businesses, schools, faith communities, civic associations, foundations, non-profits, or local government officials

  • Actively promote Five-Years-or-Less in your networks and through your social media

  • Meet virtually as a group twice a year

  • Receive SHP progress updates on a monthly basis from the Chair

When does the committee launch?

The first virtual meeting will take place in mid-October; please let us know if you would like to be part of the committee by October 5.

Note that there is no financial obligation or expectation for Advisory Committee members. We just want your participation and your advice.
