Deliver wellness and self-care programs to those without other means of access

Many advances in health and wellness, or cutting-edge classes that allow individuals to practice effective self-care, are not readily available in communities with high numbers of people living below the NPPS.

Provide thorough training to dedicated staff to ensure programming you deliver is sound and safe for participants. Connect with community members, especially in communities you serve, to identify individuals to help you deliver programming.

To get started:

  1. Develop a curriculum that includes a focus on mind, body, and spirit, with a sensitivity to cultural norms of the communities you serve.

  2. Identify locations to deliver classes.

  3. Establish an evaluation protocol to assess impact of wellness and self-care programming.
