Develop innovative, cross-sector child care partnerships

Affordable child care is a prohibitive factor for those earning less than half of the median income who wish to obtain employment or further their education.

Faith communities have both space and human resources to play a lead role in the development of child care partnerships.

To get started:

  1. Explore your immediate area for potential partners (e.g., businesses, educational institutions).

  2. Identify what each partner can bring to the partnership.

  3. Establish a child care center or program, pursuing the appropriate training and licensure.

  4. Form a leadership team consisting of representatives from each partner, inclusive also of those utilizing the program.
