Distribute a list of K-12 opportunities and resources

Children living below the NPPS often attend schools that are under-resourced and underfunded. This, along with other challenges, creates an achievement gap between wealthy students and poor students that can add up to many years of schooling before one graduates from high school.

Create and distribute a list of local and national educational programs and services that are free or priced affordably.

To get started:

  1. Identify organizations that provide tutoring, supplemental instruction, and/or school supplies for children.

  2. Consider addressing grants for private-school tuition assistance and affordable SAT and ACT preparatory courses.

  3. Share lists and other information through newsletters, social media, community meetings, or any of your other public platforms.
