Establish a social enterprise to generate jobs and revenue
Neighborhoods with high levels of people living below the NPPS supply relatively few jobs, resulting in limited economic opportunity.
Establish a business that trains and employs community members who are otherwise faced with barriers to employment.
To get started:
Evaluate services needed in a select community, as well as your organization's capacity.
Recruit a leader from your internal membership or hire an individual with an entrepreneurial spirit, relevant experience, and commitment to the cause.
Develop a business plan that includes fundraising, ongoing evaluation, and specific use of profits.
