Help close the digital divide
There is a significant gap between the technology capabilities of upper-income and lower-income schools.
There are myriad ways your organization can work with schools to meet their technology needs and help them to provide students with an equitable academic experience.
To get started:
Work with schools in areas with a high number of individuals living below the NPPS to understand all of their technology needs.
Identify stakeholders in the business and philanthropic sectors that might be able to donate funds or in-kind technology that will meet schools' needs (bandwidth, internet speed, hardware, etc.)
Establish or expand existing computer labs for students, staff, and faculty.
Offer digital literacy workshops or one-on-one sessions to help students with computer skills.
