Help individuals to obtain driver’s licenses
A disproportionately high percentage of individuals living below the NPPS do not have a personal driver's license.
Create a multifaceted program that addresses all aspects of the driver's license process.
To get started:
Identify the barriers preventing individuals from acquiring or retaining their driver's license.
Map out the steps needed to obtain a driver's license in your community.
Develop a plan that includes your members helping individuals with the following:
Accessing and paying for Driver's Ed courses, including help with transportation to the programs
Practice driving and studying for the driver's exam.
Transportation to the DMV
Fees for permits and licenses
