The National Plan to End Poverty

While a subset of our community bears the direct effects of poverty, poverty's financial and opportunity costs permeate every neighborhood and sector of the economy. The United States' current approach to poverty is inadequate.

We need a greater understanding of what it means to live in poverty, where resources are needed, how to enact workable and practical solutions, and who should take those actions. We need to build a community of people and organizations that work together to ensure economic stability for everyone.

The National Plan to End Poverty provides those answers. It harnesses the power of data, action, and connection to challenge the status-quo approach to poverty.

ACT today to promote economic justice. The Action Guide provides clear, concrete actions that you can take in an area that interests you (basic needs, child care, education, employment, financial stability, health, housing, safety, or transportation) that will help end poverty. There are actions that you can take as an individual and actions that businesses, institutions, and community organizations can take as well.

CONNECT with others who have lived experience with poverty or program implementation. Have you implemented a program? Do you know of successful programs in your area? Have you or are you currently struggling to get by? Share your stories and learn from others.
