Build cross-sector partnerships to highlight effective programs

Despite an abundance of resources in our country, there are nearly 82 million residents who struggle to obtain them.

Emphasizing greater collaboration and efficiency among service providers (government, nonprofit, and other sectors) is an ideal way for your organization to ensure that every individual and family has food, water, and other essentials of life.

By facilitating meetings and other gatherings, you can help overcome repetition of services, siloing, and gaps in service, while highlighting best practices and documenting action points. This focus on collaboration will create easier access to basic need items for people in need.

To get started:

  1. Review your beneficiaries'  progress and annual reports and contact them regarding questions about program outcomes and best practices.

  2. Invite representatives from the programs you fund and any other pertinent basic need programs to share their work.

  3. Engage people living without basic need items as speaker or leaders of the meetings.
